Doctorante en adaptation scolaire, Melissa s’intéresse à la manière d’aider les enseignants à se sentir outillés et confiants pour concevoir un enseignement adapté aux besoins de chaque élève. Elle coordonne aussi un centre de formation et d’assistance technique, où elle accompagne des enseignants dans l’application de pratiques fondées sur la recherche. Ancienne enseignante en adaptation scolaire et chargée de cours universitaire, elle met à profit son expérience en littératie, en mathématiques et en enseignement inclusif pour aider chaque enfant à progresser à son rythme.Melissa Gunter is a doctoral candidate in Special Education, where her research focuses on helping teachers feel prepared and confident to develop and implement specially designed instruction (SDI) that responds to individual student needs. She is also a Training and Technical Assistance Center Coordinator, supporting educators in translating evidence-based practices and student data into effective instruction. A former special education teacher and university instructor, Melissa brings experience in literacy, mathematics, teacher preparation, and inclusive education. Her work is grounded in connecting research, teacher learning, and practical instructional decision-making to improve outcomes for students with disabilities.
